Sunway Retail-Company Background

It all started ..........

From a small tin-mining company established in 1974, Sunway Group has thrived to become one of Malaysia’s most formidable property-construction groups, with a multitude of established businesses in more than 40 locations worldwide.

Sunway Group's core businesses consist of an Integrated Properties division which is a consolidation of its Property Development, Hospitality, Retail, Leisure and commercial properties in Malaysia as well as overseas. Other business divisions include Construction, Trading & Manufacturing, Quarry, Building Materials, Healthcare, Education and Information Technology. 

Sunway Retail which manages Sunway Pyramid shopping mall and it is Malaysia’s themed shopping and entertainment mall. It has undergone a magnificent transformation to herald a new shopping kingdom that boasts 4 million square feet of retail extravaganza. The Egyptian-inspired design still echoes on but in more contemporary fashion. The rest of the building is embellished in the monumental style, complete with hieroglyphics decorating facades, along with numerous Pharonic statuaries. The re-modeled mall is seamlessly connected at all 4 floors in a loop corridor, offering 360º splendour to shoppers as well as comfort and convenience.

A world of experiences open up as the all new Sunway Pyramid that brings you an eclectic mix of shopping themes and precincts, drawing the best of both worlds. There are 5 shopping precincts- Fashion Central, Oasis Boulevard, Asian Avenue, Marrakesh and Kidz Zone which are able to offer a rejuvenating sanctuary for shoppers of all ages.  

I am honored to be able to join Sunway Retail for my 3 months internship. With the long established business and good reputation, i believe this journey will be a wonderful and fulfilling journey to discover and absorb something beyond in my academic life. With this introduction of the company,  begins my reflection of my internship!
